Counselling for Individuals and Couples and other relationships. I offer telephone counselling which is by appointment and pre-payment. I am also a Relate Qualified Supervisor and offer one-to-one and group supervision.

How I work:

Short & long term therapy, usually weekly or fortnightly depending on client preference.
Experiece:

Over 17 years experience as a counsellor in organisations and private practice. 7years as a Supervisor - Relate and private practice. Over 11years experience as a Trainer and Counselling Diploma Lecturer - including work for: Relate, Loughborough College, Peoples College, Nottm City Council.
Approach:

My underpinning theoretical approach is Person Centred Counselling. Because I have trained in various theoretical styles, I am able to work with people in a style which best suits their particular needs.
Who I see:

People who come to see me have all types of personal issues, or relationship issues, or both. Some people come on their own, to work through their personal agendas, and others come together to work on mutual issues. I have experience in working in many varied areas
Fees:

The fee for each 50 minute session is £40 for ndividuals & Supervision. £45 for couples. I am able to offer some concessions for clients and trainee counsellors.

My counselling room is on the ground floor, there is disabled access and ample parking.

I work within the ethics, criteria, and practices stipulated by the 'British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy' (BACP). I offer counselling for, among other things: Coping with Change, Self-Esteem, Assertion, Communication Skills, Childhood Abuse, Depression, ereavement, Grief and Loss, Cross-dressing, Gender and trans-gender issues, Shame & Guilt, Disability, Relationships, Divorce, Separation.
