Back in 2003 I set up a website for free for my mother who had recently become a qualified counsellor to help her start a private practise Having little knowledge of building website's back then I struggled for search engine rankings and found myself constantly altering the website. As time went on I learned more about how website's get their search engine rankings and more about building website's and became #1 in Google for the search terms "private counselling", "counselling nottingham", "counselling mansfield", "psychotherapy nottingham" and "psychotherapy mansfield" and came in just under first place for other search terms.

Now that my mother no longer needs the website I thought about what I could do with the website as it was to painful after putting in my hard work and effort to let it slip away. After allot of thought about what I could do and with looking around I noticed that there was no website solely dedicated to listing therapy professionals in Nottinghamshire.

When doing my research into other therapist directories, the cheapest I have found, to my knowledge is £10 per month for a standard listing and with that kind of money you could buy your own whole website, not just have a page in an overfilled directory. I at the moment am charging just £2.99 for a standard listing, which I think is far more reasonable, and makes it more affordable so that people who are seeking therapy have a larger choice.
